With a history of 1700 years, Zhujiajiao is one of the ancient and well-preserved towns in China. A water town, this is often dubbed as Venice of Shanghai. One of the main attractions here is the Fangsheng Bridge, built in 1812. Resting on five arches, it is said to be the largest stone arch bridge in Shanghai. Hop on to a Gondola to get a view of the town from the water. Catch a glimpse of ancient dwellings built during the Ming and Qing dynasties on North Street. For a quiet outing, visit the Kezhi Yuan, a manor-style private park that houses a gallery and artificial hill.
