Vrsac is a quiet town located in northeast Serbia in the foothills of its namesake mountain. The city is dominated by the Vrsac tower, erected in the 15th century. The brick and stone tower can now be identified by the remains of its foundation. The Roman Catholic Church is an iconic landmark of Vrsac. Built-in neo-gothic style, the twin towers can easily be spotted from afar. Explore the artwork and ethnographic collection at the Vrsac National Museum. The Museum also houses a special segment to the life and work of Papa Jovanovic and Jovan Popovic Sterija, Serbia's noted artist and playwright respectively. The pharmacy on the staircase is an interesting building. The building is the oldest pharmacy in Vrsac and dates back to the 18th century. Today it is the house of permanent exhibitions annexed to the City Museum displaying medals and various exhibits of southern Banat culture.
