Sinheungsa is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism perched on a mountain slope in South Korea. The temple is part of the Seoraksan National Park and is known for its 7th-century architecture. The highlight of the temple is the Bronze Jwabul Statue, a 48 feet statue of seated Buddha made of gilt bronze. Locals built the statue as a hope for the reunification of North and South Korea.
