Shangri La is a scenic city located in the northwestern Yunnan province in China. Visit Garden Sumtsaling Monastery, a 300-year-old Tibetan monastery that is home to 500 monks. Situated at a height of 3380 meters, the famous eight gold-covered sculptures of Shakyamuni Buddha are a highlight of the monastery. Head to the scenic Pudacuo National Park that consists of Shudu Lake and Bitahai Lake.
