Experience a slice of Maltese village life at St Paul’s island, traditionally a fishing village with historic significance on Malta’s northern coastline. According to folklore, the village derived its name from St Paul, the apostle who was shipwrecked on the island on the way to Rome. He is also believed to have introduced Catholicism to the Maltese. Enjoy a traditional Maltese Festa, a village feast held in July to celebrate the local patron saint with band marches, fireworks, and procession. Walk around the Wignacourt tower, the oldest surviving tower, and see exhibits of various fortifications found in Maltese islands.
