Pljevlja is a quaint town situated in the northern part of Montenegro. Visit Hussein Pasha Mosque, an excellent example of oriental architecture and one of the most beautiful mosques in the nation built-in 1569. The mosque features the highest minaret in all of the Balkans with frescoes adorning the interiors. Wander around the monastery of holy trinity built in Ottoman style featuring a garden, a small waterfall, and a pond. Visit Pljevlja Heritage museum housing an impressive collection of ancient jewelry, old costumes, and prehistoric art discovered in the nearby areas.
